Old Habits achievement in AC Origins (2024)

This would seem self-explanatory but if you are having trouble...

Tips:

-As of December 12, 2017 there is a new patch that allows you on your World Map to switch your filters from All Icons to Uncompleted Locations by pressing up on the d-pad. This will show only the question marks (Undiscovered Locations) and the discovered locations that you haven't completed. Towns and Viewpoints will also remain for Fast Travel purposes. Similarly, any location you have completed will gain a golden border around its icon and a golden check mark in the upper right hand side of the icon. This new filter should make finding your last few a lot easier.
-

Be extremely meticulous when double checking that you have completed everything that you have discovered, as you may have had trouble with a location and half finished it, left, and then forgotten.

-Be careful when looking on your World Map along mountain ranges and inside your cities for Unvisited Location question marks as they can blend in with the terrain and building coloring and contours. (this applies even after the update on December 12, 2017)
-Get all 58 Viewpoints to find 99% of the Unvisited Locations (The Viewpoints also boost Senu's perception and she can spot Objectives a lot faster)
-For elephant location battle info, see the achievement guide for the Qetesh & Resheph fight

The The Harder They Fall achievement in Assassin's Creed Origins worth 97 pointsDefeat the war elephants Qetesh & Resheph.

DO NOT PICK UP ANYTHING while playing as Aya (this will currently glitch any objectives, November 5, 2017, and I will make a note here if I hear word the Ubisoft has changed/fixed this)

(Link provided by FxxkGCD, here is the forum thread https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1787488-Assassin-s-Cre...) (under the Activites section of the forum thread, unlockables are described as being fixed and will now transfer from Aya to Bayek, so anyone who starts the Aya quests, or a new game, after November 20, 2017 should be safe from this glitch)

-For anyone still suffering from the Aya glitch from before November 20, despite it being said to have been fixed it was unconfirmed that items from before the glitch that were transferred from Aya the Bayek after the glitch would unlock the achievement. Well there is now a possible workaround (with credit to Bodhi Jones). The quest that unlocks the new Horde mode from the December 12 patch, Here Comes a New Challenger, should show up as a orange diamond side quest in the Green Mountains next to Balagrae. The achievement should unlock upon entering the search area for the Melida Hideout.
-For anyone that the above workaround doesn't help, I have been messaged on Xbox about it not working and I offered a suggestion that helped the person involved and might work for you (hopefully). One of the consistent things across players that have had their achievement fixed is

time

. If you have other side quests that you haven't done, go do at least 5 of them (maybe more) after trying the Horde mode quest. Basically, spend some time in the playthrough, as the achievement may just be delayed. It's a decent game, so it shouldn't suck that much to just play a little bit longer. If you don't want to do anything, then try leaving the game running with Bayek looking at some stunning scenery or something along those lines, but sometimes actual activity is a necessary trigger in some games. Be aware that just like checking the map repeatedly, looking over a checklist as lengthy as this one can play tricks on your eyes and you might have missed something off the list just as on the map. Use one of the google spreadsheets at the bottom of the guide provided by the other users and check your locations off.

Special Locations:
-Hotep Cavern (This location is not found by the Viewpoints, so travel from Siwa to Qattara Depression along the main road and it is just inside the Qattara border)
-Bureau of The Hidden Ones

(yes it is required, you MUST complete the main storyline missions for it to appear in Memphis)

(Credit to Novice Altair)
-Eesfet Oon-m'Aa Poo (You need all 12 stone circles to access it and once accessed you need 50 Silica to activate the mechanism .The access point is in the Sphinx Passageway in the large room with the blue lights shining from the ceiling down onto the scale model of Egypt and the pyramids. The panel you interact with is on the edge of the circle facing the direction from which you enter)
-Dionysias Wharf (This location is not found by the Viewpoints, it is located in Faiyum, on the peninsula next to the Sea of Sobek Anchorage)
-Abandoned Fishing Village (possibly isn't found by Viewpoints, located halfway between Beached Trireme Camp and Taweret Stone Circle on the coast)

NOT needed:

-side quests
-Ptolemy statues
-Papyrus puzzle completion (simply find the scrolls in their locations, solving and locating one of the puzzle treasures is only necessary one time for the related achievement)

-Cyrene/Krokodilopolis/Hippodrome Events (only need the locations, not the events inside)

Definitely post comments below if you discovered all 58 Viewpoints and go for your locations and have new ones pop up on your compass when your World Map said nothing was there because the Viewpoints didn't reveal them.
