Public Health Orders

For in-person training:

In the case of a closure due to a public health order, all funds will be applied as a credit towards a future class.

When attending an in-person course, all participants must follow all hygiene and safety protocols including masking and handwashing.


Cancellations / Transfers

In-Class Courses Under $225.00

  • There is a $10.00 fee to cancel your course after registration.
  • Changes to the date of your course can be made more than 2 business days in advance. Changes are subject to availability.
  • There is a $25.00 fee to change the date of your course if it is less than 2 business days in advance
  • No shows forfeit all fees.

In-Class Courses Over $225.00

  • There is a full refund for courses cancelled more than 15 business days in advance if no course materials have been given.
  • After course materials have been given, there is a cancellation fee depending on the type of course. Fees range from $60.00 to $300.00 depending on the course. If the participant would like to change dates, he/she can hold the materials for the next course.
  • A $50.00 transfer fee will be charged in all transfers and is subject to the program facilitators discretion and course availability. If a cancellation is made less than fifteen (15) business days with no medical reason (note may be requested) all fees will be forfeit.
  • No shows forfeit all fees.

Canadian Red Cross Partial Online / Blended Courses

  • There is a $10.00 fee to change your course after you have been given access to your online learning.
  • There is a $20.00 fee to cancel your course after you have been given access to your online learning.
  • Changes to the date of Part 2: Classroom Learning can be made more than 2 business days in advance of the scheduled course. Changes are subject to availability.
  • There is a $25.00 fee to change the date of the Part 2: Classroom Learning if it is less than 2 business days in advance of the scheduled course
  • No shows to Part 2 forfeit all fees.

Heart & Stroke Foundation Blended Courses

  • There is a $35.00 fee to change your course after you have been given access to your online learning.
  • There is a $45.00 fee to cancel your course after you have been given access to your online learning.
  • Changes to the date of Part 2: Classroom Learning can be made more than 2 business days in advance of the scheduled course. Changes are subject to availability.
  • There is a $25.00 fee to change the date of the Part 2: Classroom Learning if it is less than 2 business days in advance of the scheduled course
  • No shows to Part 2 forfeit all fees.

ALL online/blended courses
You must bring proof of completion of Part 1: Online Learning to your classroom course. If you do not finish your online learning in advance, you will not be allowed to participate in your classroom learning, and you must rebook Part 2, subject to the $25.00 transfer fee, as above.

Cash Payments

Payment in advance of the course date by credit card or by e-transfer reserves the participant’s space in the course. In the instance that a participant has made a prior arrangement to pay with cash on the date of their course, their space in the course is not guaranteed, and they may be asked to change their date if the course fills in advance of the course date.

Course Cancellations

If Titan Health and Safety cancels a course the participant will receive a full refund or may reschedule for a later date. Titan Health and Safety will notify participants by email of any changes.

Refunds

If payment was made by credit card the payment will be refunded back to the (original) credit card, less any fees as stated above.

Late or No Arrival

If arriving late the participant may not be allowed entry into class and may forfeit the full course fee. If the participant does not show up to the course, or has not made arrangements prior to the course date to reschedule, he/she forfeits all fees. Extenuating circ*mstances may be exempt and is at the instructors’ discretion.

Risk to Client

The client understands that there will be a a physical component to their course. If the participant cannot perform the CPR component he/she may take part in the course, however will not be certified by the Red Cross. All components of the h4S Alive and First Aid/CPR must be taken and completed to receive certification.

Locations

All locations will have restrooms and free parking available. Some locations will have microwaves and fridges. Clients will be notified via email of the location and facilities available prior to the course.

Privacy Policy

Titan Health and Safety collects your name, mailing address, phone number and e-mail for the purpose of registering for current and future Health & Safety courses. Titan Health and Safety clients will receive an email or telephone notification when the issued certificate is about to expire. To opt-out of receiving recertification notice please contact Titan Health and Safety via telephone or e-mail. Titan Health will not sell, share or rent any personal client information. Titan Health transfers client information for certification purposes to the Canadian Red Cross through a secure database. Titan Health is not responsible for any intercepted information sent through any unsecured wireless devices. If there are any concerns please register via phone or secure device. Online Payments are made through a secure Pay Pal site and are insured.

Appeals

Participants can appeal any undesirable outcome of their certification. The first attempt will be to speak to the instructor at the end of their class. The instructor will make all reasonable and time permitting attempts to assist the participants in any area he/she may need further instruction. If that attempt fails the participant may appeal to the program director via email or in person with a written/typed letter. The participant may be asked to repeat all or a portion of the course at a later date agreed upon by the participant and Titan Health and Safety. If available a different instructor will be used. If the participant is again unsuccessful he/she will have to re-register into another course and re-pay the original fee.

Complaints

All complaints will go directly to Titan Health and Safety Management and will be handled as soon as possible during regular business hours. If complaint is urgent, all instructors have after hours contact information for Titan Health and Safety Management. Every reasonable attempt will be made to resolve the complaint in a timely and appropriate manor. Complaints can be made via email, phone or in person.

Harassment

Any verbal or physical harassment will not be tolerated. Participants who harass others, use inappropriate language or make offensive jokes will be asked to leave the class and will not receive a refund or a chance to re-apply. The participant will not be given their certification if they have not completed the course requirements. Appeals may be made to Titan Health and Safety Management only.

Smoking

The Training Center is a city-owned building. There is a smoking By Law that prohibits smoking anywhere on the property. This includes the parking lot. Please step off the property to smoke. Management has asked for a fifteen foot distance from the property.
