Biography
Nivin Pauly was born on 11 October 1984 (age: 39 years, as of 2023) in Aluva, a town in the Ernakulam district of Kerala. He belongs to a Syro-Malabar Catholic family. His father, Pauly Bonaventure, was a mechanic who worked in Switzerland, and his mother, Thressiamma Pauly, was a nurse at a Swiss hospital. He has an elder sister, who is married and settled in the US.
Nivin spent his childhood with his grandparents in Aluva, and used to visit his parents during vacations. He completed his schooling from Rajagiri Public School, Kalamassery, and then joined the Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), Angamaly, where he pursued a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He was a bright student and an active participant in cultural events. He also met his future wife, Rinna Joy, at FISAT, and they became good friends.
Career as a Software Engineer and an Actor
After graduating from FISAT in 2006, Nivin Pauly joined Infosys, a leading IT company, in Bangalore, as a software engineer. He worked there for two years, but he was not satisfied with his job.
